Blueberries have the highest level of antioxidants compared to other fruits. In my experience, they can be used to reduce sugar cravings by freezing them and then blending them with water to make a frozen treat. Instead of ice cream on a hot summer day, try a frozen blueberry blended sorbet. If you have a cat, put a little in a bowl. Cats actually like blueberries and they too can benefit from the nutrition.
You can also add them to a fresh vegetable salad to spruce it up. Blueberries are so versatile that you can add them to almost everything you create in the kitchen. I personally love adding them to my homemade green juices.
The health benefits are abundant including reducing the risk of cancer, improved insulin response, a reversal in age-related memory loss, and reduction in blood pressure.
